What is Elderly Respite Care?
Respite care refers to temporary support given for your loved ones while the normal caregiver takes a well-deserved break. For some, this is hard to do, but necessary to keep the caregiver in a place of well-being. It may be for an afternoon, a day, or a week – no matter how long, we can step in and make your loved ones feel comfortable while they are away.
Why is Respite Care Important?
Natural caregivers will give and give of themselves until there is nothing left of themselves to give. Taking occasional breaks is necessary to allow them the opportunity to recharge their physical, mental, and emotional strength so they can be fully focused and present when necessary for your loved ones. While some may feel guilty about taking time for themselves, we make it easy by making sure their job is covered so they can confidently get the break they deserve. Your senior loved ones can also benefit from the break. Occasional changes in care providers allow them an opportunity to exercise their mental focus which helps in keeping their mind sharp.
